Do you mean you want to delouse your neighbours kids hair?

Fleegle · 03/06/2010 22:31

Did you all have lice? I would only treat if I saw living, moving lice in the hair.

Have you tried a NittyGritty comb- they are really good.

Good Luck!

teamcullen · 03/06/2010 22:32

Set up an account!

Or invest in a nitty gritty comb. They cost about the same as a family size bottle of lotion and are very good.

Ive been getting unwanted visiters home from DCs on and off for the past 7 years and in that time Ive tried everything.

If you are going to use lotions, go for Headrin next time. Its very good and doesnt stink like a home perm kit.

Dont forget to treat your DS in 7 days time.

littlemissnice · 03/06/2010 22:36

Thank you everyone I have treated and we need to wet and condition tomorrow and comb, its a old white comb with firn whire teeth .
I need to treat in 7 days and then how do I keep them away?conditioner and a nitygritty comb ?.
Where do I buy the comb help me Im a virgin to this,

Use lots of conditioner and comb. All the time. It DOES work.

And wear hairspray. I work in a school and I've not had any since I started spraying my hair every day.

littlemissnice · 03/06/2010 22:38

No did not not want to delouse the neighbours hair, I bought the Derbac M and you have to apply to dry hair and leave overnight so I look awful becuase they came by to borrow milk and I had wet scrapped back hair infact we all did.

nitty gritty
You can buy or try and get it on prescription from HV.

Your comb is prob fine, but nittygritty is very good.

Is this the first time you've met headlice? Probably won't be the last

teamcullen · 03/06/2010 22:43

I bought my NittyGritty in Sainsburys about two weeks ago. Its much better than the plastic combs or even the normal metal ones.

I was very sceptical about its claims to remove eggs but it really does work.

littlemissnice · 03/06/2010 22:46

I will go tomorrow and buy one from Sainsbury, and yes first time we have had it,ds been at school for 9 months so cant be that bad.
He has really short hait, but dd has curly tight hair arghhhh.

Aah the joys of primary school! Don't worry, you will soon become an expert.

DD and I still fondly remember the long happy bathtimes combing out the lice and admiring the biggest specimens.

littlemissnice · 03/06/2010 22:54
