Am I Being Unreasonable to blow the housework and have a little nap on the sofa?

LittleMad is away with his dad this week. I usually use the time to catch up with housework, my part time job etc. I've been doing that since Saturday (still some bits to do) BUT Wednesday is my usual day off from work.

Shall I pour a glass of something lovely make a cup of herbal tea kick off my shoes and lo ll in front of the telly for the rest of the day??

Sounds wonderful, go for it!

TottWriter · 02/06/2010 14:51

Oh, take the time off. it's a hot day, and I dare say you've earned it.

Besides, if you have a nice rest, you can be idly prioritising tasks to do them with greater efficiency later

Madascheese · 02/06/2010 14:55

thank you ladies, As I only needed the slightest bit of encouragement I will follow your advice to the letter.

..and justify it to myself in the very way you suggest..

Agree. Do it. You will be far more productive after a good rest.

diddl · 02/06/2010 16:22

Yes-have a rest.

I´m not feeling well today-full of cold & aching everywhere, so everything is taking so long, it´s not worth bothering

DastardlyandSmugly · 02/06/2010 16:35

Definitely take the time off.

Alouiseg · 02/06/2010 16:37

Go for it. I'm sunning myself in the garden

zerominuszero · 02/06/2010 16:40

You won't wish you'd done more housework, when on your deathbed. Sorry to be morbid.

nickelbabe · 02/06/2010 17:03

oh, i'm full of cold, too, diddl - it's crap - i spent the whole of bank holiday monday moaning and whining about feeling ill andthat i really should be sewing my dress, but i feel icky and bleurgh.
today i still feel bleurgh but i'm at work.

my sympathies to you.

Madas - you may relax and re-charge your batteries - that's what day offs from the kids are for.

maristella · 02/06/2010 17:05

do it! i'm slightly envious...
expect you're snoozing away already

BuzzingNoise · 02/06/2010 17:06
