I went to a big DIY chain today to get a few bits. When I picked up a garden spade I cut my hand open quite badly on a shard of metal sticking out on it. None of the other spades had this so it was clearly just a fault on this one, but nonetheless quite dangerous.
When I showed my bleeding hand to one of their staff and explained I had cut it on a piece of their equipment, she sneered at me and simply said "What do you expect me to do about it?" I pointed out that the equipment was still on the shelf, and perhaps she would like to remove it. She then looked at my hand again, and suggested I queue up at customer services to get it looked at by a first aider (which I didn't)
AIBU to ring the store and complain about this, or shall I just leave it now? I'm not so bothered about cutting myself of the spade, as these things can happen, just her rudeness.
