I started my period this morning (I get terrible low mood with my periods), feel miserable as sin and just needed some space.

dd and hubby seemes quite happy to go but I now feel guilty for not going or not doing something "family" on bank holiday Monday? i have the whole week off for half term and have lots planned but today I just need to wallow in my misery!

Am I horrid?

Of course you're not - your DH and DD will love it! You've said yourself that you have lots planned for half term, so don't beat yourself up now, you relax and put your feet up!

sounds fine to me. soft play is definitely a One-Man Job, rather than a family activity.

Assuming neither of you have been at work, presumably you've had the rest of the weekend to spend time together as a family.

Nope...better to have them gone and spare them your misery.

My dh is great about that...can always sense when I'm in that same mood and will pack kids off with him for an afternoon. He figures it makes the kids happy and lets me just be miserable...which is just sometimes what you need to do!!

Pamper yourself, have a nap, mutter under your breath...whatever makes you feel a little bit better. Definitely NOT BU!!!

Hope you feel better soon!

Mine have gone to the museum (we did softplay yesterday), if DS2 wasn't breastfeeding he would have been packed off as well.
