nearly fainted with shock! DS's cot needed to be lowered to the next level but naturally we had lost the instructions and being very DIY challenged DP and I didn't want to attempt it without. Ikea website has an online chat service who within 5 mins had e mailed us the PDF of the instruction booklet, which was followable and job done. Just wanted to let MNetters know how fab this is.

I found them ok. Bought a new wardrobe there for dd, one of the pieces of wood was split, they sent another piece no problem and spares just to be on the safe side !

never had a problem with Ikea ever.

I think all of these posts are from IKEA staff...

Well I bought sofas & 18m later they had really faded

I phoned up expecting to be told "hard luck" & they said "was it so&so fabric? OK have a replacement"

I didn't want a sofa in case it faded again so I bought wardrobes

promise I don't work for ikea. was just so gobsmacked to actually get help so promptly! they knock argos into a cocked hat anyway. (where does that expression come from??)

We bought our kitchen from IKEA. Ended up searching the internet for the names of the directors so we could e-mail some and try to get things sorted.

It did gets resolved very quickly once we had but they ended up refunding us a huge chunk of money and it took 9 months to get my oven

Would never EVER buy something so big again. If I can't pick it up in my car, I don't want it.

The worktop is fucked already (even more than it was when it was delivered - it took some clever cutting to hide all the bashed bits) and it's been in for less than 2 years!

We have had our Ikea wardrobes for 5 years now. They are still perfect-were delivered exactly when promised and never needed help with assembly.
