i had an entertainer who i found the number out of the yellow pages. we confirmed details timnes etc then i paid a deposit of £50.00. of which i then had to ring to make sure she had recvd the payment. The week comencing the party I then had to ring & confirm numbers I got hold of her 8;10pm last night. can imagin how worried i was that this was going to be a no show. i asked if she knew where the venue was & assured that was not a problem. the day of the party she was late & got told she could not find it even though twice ( in a covering letter & on the phone yesterday i asked her if directions were neded). i was basiclly told when the kids where having lunch & the kids had face painting lets just put it this way - i could have done better. I now want my money back. Next year i shall do the entertaining myself. now whats my next step. do i write a letter of complaint.

No, write your letter pointing out she violated your verbal contract and get your money back. I would have had a breakdown by that point. Dds party (10) tomorrow- dreading it!
