To think that Next are useless!

Looked at the new summer stuff online and picked out some nice clothes for the other half..........went to order them, most out of stock and one item would be delivered in 5/6 weeks...............when summer will be over? How can new stuff be out of stock already ffs?

Absolutely agree with you. Last weekend looking for something to wear to inlaws BBQ. Chose something six times - all out of stock. Completely useless waste of time.

I placed an order with next about 10 days ago for 3 tops -all supposedly new stock - but surprise, surprise, delivery in 2-3 weeks!!
YANBU - they are useless!

In Next's defence the summer catalogue has been out for months now so it's understandable that some things have sold out - they can't keep infinite amounts of stock! I work in the clothing trade myself and I am in the process of switching back to selling autumn/winter stock now (and I start selling spring/summer in January). It is annoying I agree but don't blame Next, blame all the people who like to buy their seasonal wardrobes 3 months before the season begins!

Their home stuff is no better. We ordered a sofa, supposed to come 3 weeks later, took 4 months!

Ordered cream curtains for dd's room - received blue!!

Ordered a vase, due 3 days later, took 18 weeks!!!

We've returned 3 things via the courier and we've had to PROVE we returned them to get the refund. (3 separate occasions)

They are USELESS.

im still waiting for stuff ordered on the 13th of APRIL! crap.

I've never had any problems, and the returns via courier have always been efficient and really easy. I have obviously just been lucky!

Don't start me on this! ordered dd1 a dress and it has only just come after 5 weeks.

loads of stuff i wanted for me and dc's was out of stock...wanted a maxi dress and everyone i liked was out of stock.

Have ordered some peppa pig summer dresses for dd2 and have been told it has a 5/6 week delay....Next used to be so good

They've already sold a lot of Spring stock off in the sale at Easter (The Spring collection was launched in the New year, like all other shops). There will likely be another sale in 7 weeks or so, just before the Autumn catalogue comes out. Their summer sales are actually later than a lot.

I live in a rural area and don't drive and I need to stay close to home because of the kids, anyhow, so order from Next a lot. The stuff arrives quickly (take note, M&S) and has always been delivered by the same local lady. If any of it's no good, I can drop it off at a next store when I do pass one at the weekend. I almost always end up with a VIP sale invitation, too

I've made a couple of orders (online), this week and anything from the catalogue that's all out of stock has disappeared from the list by type pages and if you go through the catalogue view, it's marked as out of stock, anyhow. The only frustrations I've ever had are with sale stuff arriving 3 months later, but I tend to order a size ahead for the boys in the sales, anyhow.
