yes i know the world (outside my house) doesnt revolve around nap time i'm just getting annoyed at the revving keeping her awake!

YANBU to ask him to stop doing it during nap time, however YABU to shout and use the word 'bloody' in the first instance.

This also pees me off as my neighbour has a habit of cutting grass/hammering/sawing etc either at 7-8am on a sunday morning (grrr) or during DS2's nap time. However, I have never said anything to her as it's her garden, she can do what she likes. Her life doesn't revolve around DS2's nap time.

I don't think you would have been unreasonable though if you had kindly asked him if he would mind keeping the noise down for a little while as baby is asleep.

By the way, did he shout back ?

YABU. It's the middle of the day, you can't demand silence because your dc is having his nap. A polite 'would you mind....' wouldn't have been so bad, but you were well out of line.

YANBU to want to shout, the gardeners here (communal gardens) always seem to come and start being noisy right at nap time.

YABU if you did do it, but I feel your pain! Bloody idiot round here felt the need to sit on his moped revving and waiting for his mate to come out of the house and meet him at 7am this morning and I wanted to kill him.
