twice today our HR person has brought new members of staff around to introduce them to employees, and explain what the different departments do, and both times has completely ignored myself and my colleague?
We are the lowest "graded" team members, but now we just feel like we are nothing!! Grrrrr

YANBU...don't go in for a few days and let them see how insignificant you really are. Support Grrrr!

I know the feeling. The boss of where I work show's round visitors and says "this is the kitchen" (I don't work in a kitchen, just being discreet) and names the room, rather than the people that work in it. I think the visitors can see what kind of room it is for themselves!

Yay not just me being sensitive then! Colleague and I are quite annoyed really.. might just wait until next time said person askes me for a favour, and .... no wait, cant do that at work, would be considered very childish!

If it happens again, smile and say hello to the new staff member, or get up, shake their hands, and introduce yourself.

Yes, it's rude, but if you introduce yourself, the HR person will be reminded it's rude.

Good idea, introduce yourself and your colleague and tell them how important you and your job are

But nobody else gets up and shakes hands, I would just end up looking like a looney
