Skips prettily about the vast empty potentiality of the empty Hall and awaits.

I watched it a few months ago and was astonished that it made me terribly sad compared to 25 years ago when I literally wept with laughter...The dc didn't appreciate it - they kept asking when something was going to happen.

Gibbon · 09/06/2010 17:58

Interesting you say that Hully, I can imagine having the same response now.

Just shows what an amazing play to have such different effect on the audience over the years.

Umami · 09/06/2010 18:03

Oh dear. Have never seen it.

Umami · 09/06/2010 18:04

Blame it on my yoof, innit.

Gibbon · 09/06/2010 18:23

It really is a must see widow

Smiling here at thought of Hully's DC's 'when does something happen?'

pagwatch · 09/06/2010 18:27

Oooh I loved it but will have to watch again to see if it is glum now rather than funny.Loved Harold and Maud too. I will have to get DS1 to watch that and see what he thinks - he already thinks I am weird.

I would like to see myself in a Merchant Ivory but I am more Margot Ledbetter I think. Definately small screen too..

Nice pants Gibbon

I am just going to the gym

Hullygully · 09/06/2010 19:07

What are you going to do at the gym? I have always found them v scary and bewildering.

OP posts:
Umami · 09/06/2010 19:12

I went to a gym once, but they made me do exercise and stuff, so I didn't go again.

I love Margot. I heart her. She is my role model. I wonder if she has a flowery doodah?

Hullygully · 09/06/2010 19:18

I love Margot too. Always hated simpering Barbara.

Hullygully · 09/06/2010 19:45

I am trying to get on twitter so can go ont eh mn jiggly thing, but having terrible trouble. Just like the linking saga...ahh happy days.

OP posts:
pagwatch · 09/06/2010 21:27

I am going to the gym as my arse is taking on the size of a small yet friendly hippo. I have a wardrobe full of gorgeous clothes yet put them on and look like someone has squished me like a tube of toothpaste.
Plus I thought I would see what this endorphins thing is all about.
But it sounds like I could get the same effect from just trying to get on twitter.

I have a fantastic groovy long dress in a psychadelic print ..it is like this one but has big gold hoops on the halter neck. I am totally Margot in it. If I can just get my amazing exploding buttocks to fit I will look all glamourous and retro on holiday.
Or an ageing twat

Gibbon · 09/06/2010 22:33

Working out is good for the soul and the arris.

I will need to do tons in the near future.

I fear twitter and all it entails.

pagwatch · 10/06/2010 08:11

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Hully grapple withthe whole twitter thing from the top of the bus.
Better even than the linking...

I would never do twitter. too scared. Still barely look at facebook without flinching.

How are you Gibbon?
Blooming?

Hullygully · 10/06/2010 08:30

Paggy, I NEED a pic of you in that dress. I do I do.

Re Twitter, I am getting worse, it is no longer just technology, it is all machinery. Had to cross London with dsis recently to go to a funeral and couldn't work the tube gates, the ticket machine, couldn't get out of the station loo and then couldn't open her front door. Am becoming strangely resigned.

I have got some Followers on Twitter. I thought about being a Messiah, but I'm too lazy. Idleness and megalomania make strange bedfellows.

Gibbon must be like a giant seed pod, all tight and ready to pop. Very exciting.

OP posts:
pagwatch · 10/06/2010 09:24

i will get you one

I am becoming techno phobe an issue which was brought neatly into focus last night trying to use the running machine and rowing machine.
They have televisions and i pod docking. I was really quite scared.

we need a picture of near to pop Gib too

Hullygully · 10/06/2010 09:40

Very impressed at you running and rowing... Did you wear a leotard?

OP posts:
pagwatch · 10/06/2010 09:53

I should....

I think walking on a treadmill and sitting rather randomly on a rowing machine still counts as using them?

pagwatch · 10/06/2010 09:54
Hullygully · 10/06/2010 09:59

I think just being in the same room as them induces such fear and horror and a willingness to self-euthanaise that the pounds simply dissolve.

OP posts:
pagwatch · 10/06/2010 10:04

I did google spangly birthing leotard.

I can see Gibbon doing this mid-contraction

Hullygully · 10/06/2010 10:17

And just the right angle for electrical Nigel to burst forth heading for the stars! Perfect.

How was Espana?

OP posts:
Gibbon · 10/06/2010 10:34

Hola!

I may just pull that nifty move and stun the midwife. Sadly I fear I would not manage it at the mo.

I am bloody HUGE.

I am waddling/walking in John Waynesque fashion. I keep making old lady noises when I stand 'ooohhhhaaaa' I say as I haul myself up (with obligatory hand on lower back of course )

Just over 3 weeks to go

Hullygully · 10/06/2010 10:44

When I was preggers with dd (just 8 months after ds), I was sitting on the floor pretending to play with ds and literally couldn't get up. Had to wait for dh to get home. He filmed my attempts before helping. I ask you, is it kind or necessary?

OP posts:
Gibbon · 10/06/2010 11:04

8 months after! respect due Hully

I am giggling here at you being filmed really making me chuckle

How mean of your DH

Gibbon · 10/06/2010 11:13

I keep getting back ache and dull cramps. Is that normal a few weeks before? with DD it was all so quick I feel silly for not knowing.
