Apparently we are not going to be able to wear England shirts or fly England flags soon for fear of being 'offensive'.

I for one am offended by this.

I'll be pissed off if England shirts are banned during the World Cup.

It'll make it more difficult to work out who who the thugs that I should be giving a wide berth are if they're not clearly marked in a highly-flammable piece of "sportswear."

CC&B

My next door neighbours babysitters uncles dog walkers sisters DS got arrested and he was wearing his Inglaland shirt.
So the Xenophobic fuckwits are right.
Slumped over an old dears wall, he was.
Emptying his stomach into her flower bed.
The Police just nabbed him there and then.
Broad day light too.

What is the world coming to?

Aside from the OP believing what seems to be a hoax- what exactly is wrong with people wearing England shirts/having England bin stickers/flags etc? Some of those posts on here make it sound like if you do you are thick/racist/idiotic. Do this make the welsh who proudly display their flag thick and racist? Do people of Jamaican origin who have a car sticker with their flag on think England is beneath them? I think it means nothing except some people are proud of their nationality and are exercising their right to show it- no matter where they hail from!

Yes - you are not going to be able to wear an England shirt unless you are a very small child and it is the proper official one because otherwise the fashion police will come and rip it from your back because you need to be taught a lesson that they are just so vile on any adult (unless you happen to be playing for England at the time!)

And flying a flag in your garden - why oh why would you - as I look out of the window to see the Jolly Roger flying from the top of the climbing frame - weh hey me hearties!

Unfortunately th eUnion flag has been commandeered by the BNP and it can represent thick/racist people.

Redredwine1980 that may be because the Welsh were once denied their national pride and now feel like showing off a bit or the jamaicans are aware of the strugles they have encountered as a minority. The English have generally been ok in England, but are now confronted by notions of Britishness and Englishness...and feel a bit squashed in the middle, which is understandable.
I think what a lot of people didn't like about the OP was the tone and feeling of it, the indignation and the faith that there is a massive conspiracy against the English.

Speaking of pasty bodies, I saw an old man sitting outside a street cafe in town yesterday bare chested. It was the centre of a northern town ffs not bondi beach. Don't get me started on women in the supermarket with bikini tops on, wrong!
