Apparently we are not going to be able to wear England shirts or fly England flags soon for fear of being 'offensive'.

I for one am offended by this.

Most of the pubs I've been to over the years have banned sports wear.. that may be cos I'm a goff though!

MiladyDeWinterOfDiscontent · 22/05/2010 20:46

weegiemum what is the "ABE" attitude? I hope my comment about the joky wearing of Ecuadorian colours by Scots that time was taken in the spirit in which it was intended

GrendelsMum · 22/05/2010 21:16

I've been told by a couple of people that we're not going to be allowed to wear anything any more, because clothing might offend people.

No need, runnybottom- simply lay a (British) sandwich cut into quarters on your face with roughly an inch space between the pieces. Fall asleep in the sun. Four hours later- hey presto! What could be more English than sunburn, dry sandwiches and idiocy?

runnybottom · 22/05/2010 22:57

Saltire · 22/05/2010 22:58

SO......is it just England shirts that are being "banned". Becasue I have one that looks like this, so I assume it's ok to wear it down the pub to watch an England match

2shoes · 22/05/2010 23:14

i have yet to understand why any one would want to wear one.

antoinettechigur · 22/05/2010 23:18

Also, Christmas is going to be banned and replaced with "winterval".

Girls in British schools for British children will be made to wear burkas and pray to Mecca.

Bell ringers in English churches for english people will be made to ring ska music.

Parents of girls aged 13-15 will be made to hand them over to Eastern Europeans or face a fine from Brussels.

British bananas for british people will be banned and replaced with straight German ones.

Anyfink else?

They're trying to cultivate cube shaped apples so they can be stacked in nice tidy European lines.

Football shirt on grown adult not currently playing sports is not a good look.

You do realise that this rumour was planted by the government to keep the proletariat busy and therefore prevent revolution

biddysmama · 22/05/2010 23:58

or started by the bnp before the elections to try and get more votes?
