in a flouro orange trapeze shaped mini dress?

am 38 years old, should i strongly reconsider.

in favour, colour is fabulous on me, legs (still) good and brown as is rest of me and have electric blue shoes that go v well.

against: it is above knee, and i look slightly like a piece of bubblegum.

i want to, probably last party pre baby. but am happy to be flamed for it!

i am not quite sure what a trapeze shaped dress is, but it sounds fabulous

NorbertDentressangle · 21/05/2010 17:47

I can't comment as I have no idea what a trapeze shaped mini-dress is I'm afraid

Heathcliffscathy · 21/05/2010 17:47

bit like this but not quite as short and floro coral/orange and chiffon not silky

should i wear flat shoes instead of electric blue high sandals.

am i going to look like a demented pregnant tart?

lulu baby is transverse...that's not a problem at this point is it? midwife says not at all.

notnowbernard · 21/05/2010 17:53

V flattering if you have good legs!

Alas I have not. Hey-ho

My mw said at last appt (I was 29w) that baby still has lots of time to manouevre. HTH

Heathcliffscathy · 21/05/2010 17:54

yes it is triangle shaped and so doesn't hug bump at all.

[ponders] should i dress it down with flats?

OP posts:
waitingforbedtime · 21/05/2010 17:56

Wear it! Ds was transverse until about 31 weeks I think if nto later.

notnowbernard · 21/05/2010 17:57

I think I would have to wear flats as my back is aching a lot atm (30w)

Wedges?

traceybath · 21/05/2010 17:59

God don't do flats - go with the electric blue sandals.

You will look fab!

Heathcliffscathy · 21/05/2010 18:00

like a ball of bubblegum in high heels then!

ok

what if everyone else (in 40s and above) is in nudes and jeans?

[quakes at thought of overdressed bubblegum ball look]

will i be excused as preg and hormonal?

traceybath · 21/05/2010 18:01

They'll all be in dresses - its england the sun is out - no-one will be in jeans.

Heathcliffscathy · 21/05/2010 18:02

fuck yeah sorry forgot about english sun out mayhem. they'll be in bikini tops!

OP posts:
Beetroot · 21/05/2010 18:12

or you could go as a tent

traceybath · 21/05/2010 18:12

You joke but 2 mums picked up today from school in sheer kaftans covering up bikinis!

Heathcliffscathy · 21/05/2010 18:15

not a prob at this stage... don't worry..still lots of time and room for baby to move x

Angelcat666 · 21/05/2010 19:27

Go for it.

"what if everyone else (in 40s and above) is in nudes and jeans?"

Then you'll look fabulous and they'll all be jealous

girlsyearapart · 21/05/2010 19:31
