to think it's rude to flame an OP at the end of a long thread without having bothered to read the thing?

Am thinking about YoMoJo's thread about her toddler chucking sweets on the floor in Sainsbury's as an example. It's been pointed out to her several times that SWBU, and she's had the good grace and humour to accept that she was in the wrong. Despite this, other posters just pile on and add to the kicking, making her bad day, and embarrassment about the whole episode just that bit crappier.

Read the thread before launching in with criticism - and if you don't have time, don't respond!!

OP posts:

I haven't read the whole thread sorry
but agree OP, this is my pet MN bugbear
I do think there should be a way to update a post, so the OP can add YES SORRY IWBU to the OP

swanandduck · 21/05/2010 13:27

I agree. In general, I wish you could edit your posts (as on other forums) as sometimes, when you read them over, you realise you should have added something else or phrased a sentence differently to get your point across.

Pikelit · 21/05/2010 13:31

Yeah but no but yeah, Fiofio, your gang might be the sort of rude girls that come along and stir it on page 4. We mightn't know know whether to fight or flounce y'see.

Pikelit · 21/05/2010 13:37

We'll bash the gates down FioFio. Are we tough or what?

It's one of those car parks where they charge you 70p every twenty minutes. Bring your purse.

Pikelit · 21/05/2010 13:41

I have change. But am a little short of fifty pence pieces if someone else could oblige.

What's this thread about again? Lat time I looked two of you were having a fight and now the it's starting to look like a bar brawl.

[smashes bottle of liquor over innocent bystander's head]

pedrothellama · 21/05/2010 14:00

What the hell happened to my spelling, grammar and typing skills there?

cupcakesandbunting · 21/05/2010 14:04

It's because I just thwacked your about the head with my handbag. It's sent your thinking all skew-whiff.

pedrothellama · 21/05/2010 14:05

What kind of bag was it? Was it the new Mulberry?

OldMacEIEIO · 21/05/2010 14:06

And now its time for the quiz.

Question #1 'Who the fck are YOU looking at'

Tidey · 21/05/2010 14:09

Answer #1 - 'I dunno, the label's fallen off'

marcsalmond · 21/05/2010 14:09
