CBeebies Bedtime Song Annoyance

OneTwoBuckleMyShoe · 18/05/2010 22:19

I know I ABU here but hey!

Does anyone else find the bedtime song a bit weird, I mean it surely can only apply for about 2 weeks a year and was laughing away to myself this evening as they sang "Hello Moon" and it was blazing sunshine outside.

I'll get my coat...

You are not alone....I hate it too.

SpringHeeledJack · 18/05/2010 22:25

I hated it

until someone posted on here that it was played at a little one's funeral they went to

now it has me blubbing buckets

JimmyTarbuck · 18/05/2010 22:25

Hate it. Mainly cos my DD is only just about to have her tea at that time and it makes me feel like a bad mummy that she is not getting ready for bed. Also hate that mock reggae sound they have gone for. Shite.

OneTwoBuckleMyShoe · 18/05/2010 22:30

My DD's tea is heralded by it too Jimmy and it does make me feel a bit crap but the girl does love her Chuggington fix

I liked the 'now its time to say goodnight, say goodnight till the morning bright, now its time to say goodnight at the end of a luverlee day. Weve had so much fun today, tommorows just a dream away, now its time to say goodnight at the end of a luverlee day'

SpringHeeledJack · 18/05/2010 22:46

oh I thought it was that one, chegirl

(my dds have 'grown up' and switched over to non stop flippin cartoons on CITV)

j0807bump · 18/05/2010 22:53

i use cbeebies when i'm getting tea ready and hurry to turn it over when that song finishes - because beebies have gone to bed.

it really annoys me when v.occasionally they don't play the bloody thing. its absolutely essential that it goes off after though he can't be allowed to know theres another hour of programmes

it's for tea not bed!

LostArtofKeepingASecret · 18/05/2010 23:25

I've not heard it for months now, but it still goes round and round my head.

re: being played at a lo funeral

I love the bedtime song (well the one at the very end anyway) not so keen on the Goodbye sun, hello moon song!

EricNorthmansmistress · 19/05/2010 10:34

They have the 'hello moon' song at the start of the bedtime hour, and they have the 'tomorrow's just a dream away' song at 7.....
