To still be 'home' sick?

When DH and I got together 10 years ago we moved to the Midlands (his hometown) because my area in the SE was too expensive.

Its been 10 years, but I still ffind myself really homesick. I miss my family although we still visit about once a month and I talk to my parents every few days. The place I used to live is such a lovely village - I wish I could afford to bring up my children there.

AIBU? And am I the only one that feels like this?

Not at all. I moved home after 10 years away, best move I ever made.

I would love to move back too, but we would never be able to be able to afford it

I think you are being a litte unreasonable. I'd love to be able to visit my home once a month, unfortunately for me we made the decision to move abroad.
Have you friends in your new place? Or children?
