That these kids on junior Apprentice need taking down a peg or 2

Thats it really. I watched junior Apprentice the other night and was about the behaviour of some of these brats junior entreupanurs (sp) sepcially Zoe Plummer who does not do deals with ugly people (well have you looked in the mirror lately i wonder) and Jordan who had a face like a wet weekend and an attitude to match. They do have a lot to learn I am afraid if they are going to make it.

There is the low down of them all

What I found interesting was that they are completely raw and acting by instinct rather than from expeience.
They knew quite a few things already that I have spent the last 20 years learning!

Zoe is precosious (sp) but had nerves of steel which I really admired. I wouldnt suprise me if she has a 'story' and has had to fend for herself a lot in life.

Hilarious when she said 'oh he's my favourite chef!' hah ha yah right love, you've never heard of him have ya?

I think she'll go far but she needs a strong leader to show her a few home truths.

Annoying that they went stright in to girls Vs boys... whats the relevance of sex?

ANd lastly, interestinghow the girls had a much more comanding presence.

"hah ha yah right love, you've never heard of him have ya?"

Why should't she have done ? I am a chef and my husband and I eat out at a lot of michelin restaurants. By the time DD is 16 she will have eaten at those places as well and will have (I hope) a similar interest in fine dining as her parents. Why do you assume that Zoe has no knowledge of fine dining because of her age ? She is London based and I find it perfectly feasible that, if she was brought up in a foodie house, that she would have an opinion on Tom Aitkens. I know I knew of people like the Roux Brothers and Anton Mosimann when I was 16.

I find the assumption that because she is 16 she has no knowledge very patronising.

I thought that Zoe probably was making a very valid point given her limited experience - given that she sells second-hand clothing on a market stall, it must be crucial for her to look well turned out, stylish and attractive.

Nobody wants to buy fashion items from someone who looks like a tramp, do they. Just like you wouldn't buy makeup from a salesperson with terrible makeup or want to have your food served by someone that looked greasy and dirty.

Being well presented and smart seems to be criticised as being overly fussy yet first impressions are still hugely important.

supergreenuk · 15/05/2010 15:48

He he. A lot of those women on the make up counter have terrible make up.

Fibilou · 15/05/2010 16:27

and i bet you ignore their advice

Thediaryofanobody · 15/05/2010 16:34

The only people who need to be taken down a peg or two are those old enough to know better. Adults being nasty about a child's looks and those talking about wanting to assault them are rather pathetic ones IMO.

foureleven · 15/05/2010 18:32

Fibilou - It wasnt because she was young. It was the way she said it.. Something about her whole persona told me that she would say 'oh he's my favourite chef!' even if he wasnt IYKWIM.

I think peoples objection to her comment about grooming was her use of the word 'ugly'

But yes, they should all be admired, like I said they knew stuff about business that ive taken my career so far to learn!

I actually felt sorry for Jordan, he seemed vulnerable, with his complete lack of people skills.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that he was on the autistic spectrum either. His blue eyes reminded me of my aspie nephe.
