AIBU to laugh at parents who dress there children the same as them?
Two examples
1 A couple of years ago I saw a man 35ish with little boy 6/7 with the same clothes but what made it worse was the fact that they both had blonde mullits. I really didnt know if I should laugh or cry
2 Bumped into a couple we havn't seen for a year or so. Four year old son just looked like his dad.White trainers,jeans,brown leather bomber jacket,spectacles and short back and sides

These are just 2 examples that stick in my mind but believe me there have been more
Is it embarassing or is it just me?

My DS and DH dressed the same unintentionally last week and it was hilarious because they both looked mortified when they realised.

I guess it depends on how far it goes. Of course I can't help but buy my DD clothes I like. She is just starting to like different things for herself.

Dd2 loves to wear her (New)Castle top when DH does. It used to be dd1's top. Dd1 also had the same England strip as him and a Barcelona top, but I gave these to my nephew before they fitted dd2.

If they like to dress alike why not?

It's hard though isn't it. I have an 8y DD who looks a bit like me as it is. I buy most of her clothes and I buy stuff I like. She likes them too. So, sometimes our clothes are similar in style - maxi dresses, long floaty tops, etc. Colours are similar too as our colouring is the same. I do try hard however to make sure we are not dresses too similar when we go out wherever possible.

dp got him and dd football shirts last week, looked so cute when they wore them with jeans

My DS (4.5) and I both have the same rugby shirt. If he sees me put mine on in the morning, he will always go and get his out to wear. I don't like having him as a mini-me, so will usually change my own top the moment his back is turned.

But, it doesn't bother me if other people choose to dress their children in similar style to them. After all, they're probably choosing and paying for their children's clothes, so are likely to choose ones they like themselves.
