to keep DD1 off school after she fell down the stairs?

She is 4 so it's only nursery anyway, and she FELL down the stairs! I don't want to see that again.
She just tumbled sideways, she was in front of DD2 and I and I just saw her topple from sitting and roll...

So I think she might come to toddler group with us after a quick visit to the doctor. She has such a huge fear of doctors she will hide any injury to avoid having to see them and is insisting she is fine, I can't see anything but aibu to take her and then keep her off school so I can keep an eye on her?

YANBU, give her a day at home with lots of cuddles.

Did she lose her balance? Could she have an ear infection perhaps? How did she manage to fall from a sitting position.

YABVVU.

Not really But you know that

Hope she's ok x

Of course YANBU. TBH, given her fear of drs, I wouldn't even take her to dr unless there was something to worry you (ie not as a precaution). Shell enjoy the playgroup and you'll soon see if she's not herself.

God knows how she fell. I wasn't watchign her I was trying to stop DD2 jumping down the steps and saw her go out of the corner of my eye.
Bless her, I screamed 'Fuck! DD1!' [potty mouth]
She jumped straight up at the bottom and said (in a very tremulous voice) 'I'm okay, mummy' and then we both burst into tears.
She just keeps telling me she'fine because I yelled and she thought I was cross with her, bless her.

Ear infection is good theory, DD2 just got over one, no temp yet but am taking her to docs anyway, I don't care if she is shovelling in breakfast will make me feel btter!

pretty, I do see what you mean but she is all excited about missing school and getting to come to playgroup with us so I don't want it to be a massive reward for falling down the stairs...I know how her mind works!

I remember falling down the stairs, from the top, at that age - because I was leaning forward to see how far I could lean before losing my balance . Never did it again, and didn't confess to my mum why I'd fallen. Hope she's ok. Must have been a horrid shock for you.
