dp buys me chocolate for every occasion, i save them and eat them little by little... or i try to, dp usually gets hold of them and eats them all, picking one up when he goes into the kitchen or getting them out for me and sitting there eating them while i have 1 or 2....

why friggin buy them for me if your gunna eat them!!

i'm pregnant and i was looking forward to them!

take them out of the box and replace them with laxitives

agedknees · 09/05/2010 18:26

yanbu. But don't do what I once did. Hid chocs in the slow cooker. Forgot I had hidden them in it. Put slow cooker on to heat while I was frying chicken, onions etc to put in the slow cooker.

Invented a new recipe.

Huh! it's better than flowers -- often chrysanths - yuck - my least favourite.

Gracie123 · 09/05/2010 18:48

PMSL at agedknees! Did it taste good?

My DH is a chocoholic, but the likelihood is that if he bought me some choc he would keep his mitts off. Mostly because he probably bought and ate a stash before he brought mine home...

TakeLovingChances · 09/05/2010 19:49

My DH does this too!

He buys me lovely choc when he's at the shop then brings it home and tells me, "TLC this is for you"

If I don't eat it that day and leave it sitting in the cupboard he'll assume I don't want it and will eat it himself, sometimes he does this in front of me, blatantly!

So OP, I feel your pain!

nannynobnobs · 09/05/2010 19:55

My DH bought me a tub of B&J's Chunky Monkey ice cream to cheer me up a bit when my lovely cat died. I don't eat sweet stuff very often but I do like to have it there, so when I went to have some a week later I was thrilled to discover he'd eaten all but an inch of it
I was not chuffed, not a bit.

lilmissmummy · 09/05/2010 19:57

Mine ate all my easter eggs! I feel your pain too! (also pregnant) so I send him out to buy me expensive chocolates late at night... then change my mind when he gets home the hide them!
