...to be able to deal with the 15 year old nutter that lives down stairs. Just had another incident from the neighbours from hell.
The teenage nightmare devils spawn son has beaten up my daughters boyfriend . and the police cant do anything.
Not because the dont want to , but because they cant . All they can do is give him a telling off and report him to childrens panel again.
The lad in question has also threatened me ...quote " your going to have your head in your hands , im gona come up your stairs with 20 and yous are all getting it. "
He also called me a bad mother ,for letting my dd4 (autisic 5 yr old) water the plants in my garden with her older sister .
And then shouted that "i should keep my legs shut , that im a slut ".(have been married twice , divorced ex because he was a violent cheat ,so obviously i fit the criteria for sluthood). This was said infront of my 5 year old twins and my 10 year old son.
What did my daughters boyfriend do to deserve this? ...he came down to see my dd because its his birthday , they were going into town to celebrate at mcdonalds..
Im ashamed of what i live next to, how can people be like that?
IF the police cant do anything about him and others like him no-wonder the place is going down hill ,its all about the rights of the few who make live a misery for everyone else...over the rights of the law abiding people.
somethings seriously wrong with the law imo.

Why can't they do anything. The boy who mugged my ds last week is a lot younger and is on bail at the moment.

mayorquimby · 09/05/2010 15:21

WTF? he's over the age of criminal responsibility why can't they charge him?

BAFE · 09/05/2010 15:21

a 15 year old beat up your dd's boyfriend because he was going to go to McDonalds?

If that's correct, then it might be the CPN is what's needed, rather than the police.

SirBoobAlot · 09/05/2010 15:23

I hope you and your DDs BF are okay

angel886 · 09/05/2010 15:25

Why can't the Police do anything? They can arrest him regarding the assault and any threats of violence would be covered under the Public Order Act.

If he's using vile language in the stairwell then this isn't classed as a public place so not much can be done about that. Threatening language is another thing all together.

Have the Police been out to see you?

choufleur · 09/05/2010 15:28

i would phone the chief inspector/ inspector responsible for your beat and be requesting a meeting with them to discuss the problems you are having.

What sort of tenure is your flat? If it's social housing then complain also to the landlord. A council should take this sort of behaviour seriously as the tenant is responsible for the behaviour of those who live in thier falt, including their children.

Thediaryofanobody · 09/05/2010 15:32

Gosh thats awful.
I'd speak to a solicitor about civil action against the council (surely they could be evicted?) and the parents?

bamboobutton · 09/05/2010 15:36

my sister was in the police, a lot of the time poeple are let go/nothing is done is because the CPS don't want to do anything because it prob won't go to court so there is no point.

one of the reasons she left the police in the end was the frustration of having to let thugs and pervs go again and again because of CPS.

drloves8 · 09/05/2010 15:43

One officer has been out , hes arranged for the comunity police team to visit later. He could arrest him , but it wont come to anything , they would have to let him out .The boy that was beaten up , is bruised and shaken and now back home...the policeman who came out knows the lad who did this because of previous simillar incidents. Hes well known to the police , as is his mother.
He didnt want to go down stairs and talk to him , incase it makes it worse...think he would have if there was two Pc`s.The boy is under social work , so i dont know if there is any mental heath issues - he tells people he has ADHD so cant help himself...my best mate is a psyciatric nurse practitioner who works with the courts , and she says she thinks thats not whats up with him...his behavour reminds her of the criminals she works with...some of whom get hospitalised instead of jail.
TBH im terrified of him.
It is a council house , they wont move us .

I think the boy needs sectioned under the mental health act tbh.
I have lived in some rough areas in my life , but never came across anyone who is so scary.....and hes not yet 16. The fact he thinks it ok just to hit someone for walking along the street is beyond me. Unprovoked. Thats not normal , is it? I know teen-age boys can somtimes fight , but there is always a reason for it.... So im trawling the net just now , looking for a house /flat that we could afford to rent that would be suitable for dd4. Cant live here...need to move or else its never going to end.Hes getting worse.

Riven , ive tried - there is no council houses large enough....my own fault for having twins ,instead of single "perfect" baby. We cant afford to buy now , as i gave up work to care for dd4 full time.

So the officer came out and said that no point arresting him because it won't come to anything? Well it never will unless they arrest him!

Was your dds bf given the chance to provide a statement? Was a crime report for assault even submitted?

If your dd's bf won't provide a statement then nothing can be done. if he is willing to then the matter MUST be crimed and MUST be followed up.

Just because nothing happened last time does not mean that nothing will happen this time.

How badly was he injured? Any cuts or bruises?

Were you given an incident number? If you contact council etc to get moved then be sure to give them any reference numbers that you have.

BAFE · 09/05/2010 16:06

That's what I said, he needs a CPN (community pschiatric nurse) rather than the police. I thought if someone was a danger to people that they could be sectioned?

AuntieMaggie · 09/05/2010 16:07

you can get some sort of council order i think - similar to an asbo if they are causing a nuisance and if they carry on they get evicted

a friend of mine (who is a police officer) is having to get one of these against her neighbours (who don't know she's a police officer)

AuntieMaggie · 09/05/2010 16:10

www.bristol.gov.uk/ccm/navigation/community-and-living/crime-prevention/anti-social-behaviour -and-nuisance/

does this help?

drloves8 · 09/05/2010 16:11

Update - the nightmare teen has just said hello to my 10year old , as if they were friends or something?. wtf?.
Does he not know what hes done or something?
unhinged.
DS2 just asked me if he`s crazy?.
i didnt know what to say.

have you complained to housing management (or similarly named tenant services at your council)? You should get them to record every incident. They will have policies that cover anti-social behaviour.

Also report to your anti-social behaviour team if there is one.

As he's a minor the council may be able to take action against the mother, such as an acceptable behaviour contract(ABC). If it is breeched it can be used to start legal proceeding to evict.

drloves8 · 09/05/2010 23:17

Ive been to see housing manager for this area , he gave me an incident diary to fill in every time something happens.Im also advised to phone police everytime something happens.
Police have been back in touch, they are sending the community police (ones that walk around the estate)to see me in the morning.
Have spent most of the evening trawling through the estate agents online sites looking for a rental house we could afford....think i might have found a possible one...just need to find the deposit money.
DH came home (was at football day out)and has been told what happened...he wants to go down and kick his arse" have strong words" with the lad. Ive convinced dh not too and hes went to bed, so im sitting watching the cctv thats pointed at the car.
Oh the joys!.
