aw don't worry Little Mrs Happy my MN has been going mental over the past few days but seems to be ok tonight

This too shall pass....

MiladyDeWinterOfDiscontent · 08/05/2010 22:16

LMH, my sister is dyslexic and I have taught many true and apparently dyslexic young people over the years. Dyslexics find if very difficult to organise their thoughts and would think that a talk-board like MN was quite overwhelming so well done you for being here and holding your own!

LittleMrsHappy · 08/05/2010 22:21

I try not to let it beat me, I use a dicta phone at work as Im fine vocally, so when doing my case reports, I follow my dicta phone, works for me. Some days Im fine, others Im atrocious, it just infuriates me, as I know what I want to write/type, but it just does not come across coherently.

I find my spelling is much worse when typing.

I don't think you come over as an uneducated pleb.

chipmonkey · 08/05/2010 22:32

LittleMrsHappy, one of the funniest, most prolific and well-known MNers types like a fish with a broken fin so I can't help but wonder why anyone thinks good spelling and clarity is important around here!

Did something happen on a thread to upset you?

MiladyDeWinterOfDiscontent · 08/05/2010 22:35

Yes LMH, you are practically MN royalty now, so why is this bothering you?

LittleMrsHappy · 08/05/2010 22:43

Nothings bothering me, well my niece is, shes fine. I personally want to be coherent, not mumblejuble, if I cant come across coherently, well its me, it pissed me off no end, I piss myself off

I read my post, and then send it, thinking its fine, then re-read and it has loads of errors,

Im going to have a vino, it helps lol x

LittleMrsHappy · 08/05/2010 23:00

Thanks ladies, at least I know I am not coming across as thick, hopefully you can understand me x

LMH - I am just the same. If I do not concentrate hard my posts have a lot of errors in. Even when I re-read them.

It has always been that way at school and beyond. Try not to let it upset you. No one thinks you are a pleb. Just looks like you are typing fast.

It has been overwhelming on fast moving political threads of late and I do wish we had an edit button like on other forums I post on to allow corrections.

BeenBeta · 08/05/2010 23:06

One thing I do a bit for long posts is type it all into Word, spell check it and then copy and paste it. I find typing into the MN text box quite hard work - especially to spot errors. Better to have a spellchecker and syntax checker in Word do it for me.

scottishmummy · 08/05/2010 23:06

mn is online chat, not peer group evidence based blah blah.i teyp and dont care about spelling

MiladyDeWinterOfDiscontent · 08/05/2010 23:11

LMH, about your niece, I will always remember her when I see you posting. I won't be the only one.
