That depends why she was sick. It could have been, for example, food poisoning and thus not contagious.

ilovesprouts · 07/05/2010 18:12

yuk ! was she been sick in the bowl too !!

nickschick · 07/05/2010 18:13

yuk!!

ZZZenAgain · 07/05/2010 18:14

was the sick bowl used?

foureleven · 07/05/2010 18:15

Umm I would be a bit grossed out but I wouldnt be furious.

It may have meant an awful lot to the little one that mummy was there and if there was no one to look after the older one then she would have to come.

SweetnessAndShite · 07/05/2010 18:16

This would seriously pee me off as I'm emetophobic! Yuk! No. Stay at home, please.

digusted · 07/05/2010 18:18

dad was there too elder sister kept grabbing it and lying down

If this really happened, I would be "digusted" too.

ZZZenAgain · 07/05/2010 18:19

sounds like she shouldn have been allowed to rest at home. Can't have been much fun lying on the floor in a crowded room hugging a bowl with a reception show on.

Oh well if there was another parent there than that parent should have stayed at home with the sick child.

bibbitybobbityhat · 07/05/2010 18:29

I think I will complain to the school

OP posts:
bibbitybobbityhat · 07/05/2010 19:17

Hardly the school's fault!

PixieOnaBallotBox · 07/05/2010 19:22

What's it got to do with the school?

What if she had cyclical vomitting syndrome, or similar? Should she have to live her whole life hiding away?

junglist1 · 07/05/2010 19:45

I wouldn't sit next to someone who was going to vomit, sorry. That's vile

sleepingsowell · 07/05/2010 20:00

that's ridiculous. Of course she shouldn't have bought a child and sick bowl to a do. Good grief.

Have to say though, I think it's no good complaining to the school now! Needed to be said at the time.

pigletmania · 07/05/2010 20:39

That is she should have stayed at home, not nice seeing somebody in a sick bowl and hearing them baulk, and also passing on their germs yuck!

Northernlurker · 07/05/2010 20:44

So she wasn't actually sick?

Well I would have left Dad at home with sick child but we don't know the circumstances of the vomiting - maybe she was ok till they got there and then came over peculiar so they got the bowl out of the car - having one there for chronically car sick children? I usually have something in there for that purpose.

sleepingsowell · 07/05/2010 20:49

well, yes but if you come over so sick that you need a bowl, you don't sit in an audience, you go out!

digusted · 07/05/2010 20:50

she was off school for the day and there is D and V going round

digusted - I have to ask - why have you namechanged for this? Are you worried that mum of sick girl will spot you on here? It seems such an innocuous thread to namechange on. Am just curious, honestly!
