Am I being unreasonable? I wanted to vent my spleen in the poling station but to be fair there was not a person there who had a say in the matter so its down to Mumsnet.

My ballot paper had a national front candidate on it!
Its just obscene.

I had a leaflet the other day but tbh I thought they were just being opportunistic.

Interestingly we didn't have a BNP candidate. Only the most extreme extremists in the Rochdale area.

It's not obscene, it's democracy. It would be obscene if people were not allowed to stand for election regardless of the views.
I don't agree with the BNP of the NF but they have a right to stand.

GypsyMoth · 06/05/2010 17:50

we didnt have bnp either....
but yabu...if you protest at a legitimate candidate being on paper.

runnybottom · 06/05/2010 17:51

you're not the only one, there are 17 NF candidates, mainly in the midlands. 8 of those also have BNP standing for the same seats.

It is obscene.

Rosieeo · 06/05/2010 17:52

YABU, but where on earth do you live?!? Purely out of interest and I'm not being snobby, we had a BNP candidate.

RedBlueRed · 06/05/2010 17:53

I see your point but it turns my stomach to see them on there.

I wish they didn't exist, I wish that level of ignorance and vileness did not exist.
Is that unreasonable? No.

It's not unreasonable to wish they didn't exist. I wish morons like that didn't exist.
