to have expected my candidates to actually reply to my email?

I wrote to my main 3 nearly a fortnight ago asking them if they would be prepared to sign the OBJECT charter on women and violence (porn, lads' mags etc).

I wrote each one a proper email, not just spam, picking up on things they said in their election leaflets (eg one had said he believes in decency, another has 2 daughters).

I wasn't expecting them all to rush to sign up (specially the Tory) but it would have been nice if they'd actually got back to me, even with a one-liner.

I know they're busy and all, but I'm a voter! The Lib Dem could have had my vote. I was thinking of voting Tory but I'm not sure now. This issue is very close to my heart and it was actually quite important to me to know that they would take it seriously.

Was I being VVVVU to expect a reply of any sort?

not unreasonable at all! my local candidate replied to my email when I contacted him (Lib Dem bloke - our local Tory has a bad rep for, well, everything).
maybe you should email them back and say they've lost your vote for not responding?

Good idea Kveta! Yes I will. I was going to tell the people who came to canvass but no-one has been round to canvass
