on sausages, asparagus, whatever...in the Sainsbury's ads?
Can't he make less noise and keep his mouth closed?

Yes, I can't watch him, I wish he'd set a better example to children. If you watch most adverts with people eating it's open mouths, elbows on tables, cutlery in fists... you've hit on one of my pet hates here.
To go back to Jamie, there is nothing about watching him snuffling his way through a bit of asparagus that inspires me to shop in Sainsburys.

ilovemydogandMrBrown · 06/05/2010 08:34

He's so rude. He talks with food in his mouth, licks fingers and worst of all, doesn't close his mouth when he eats. Yuck.

ifancyashandy · 06/05/2010 09:24

Cutlery in fists is my Number One Pet Hate.

Why can't people hold their knives and forks correctly??? They are not gattling irons*! Put the base in the palm of your hand - It's not difficult FFS!!

*whatever they are.

And breathe.....

lolapoppins · 06/05/2010 09:26

I wouldn't be able to eat anything Jamie Oliver cooks as he spits when he talks. I would feel sick imagining little bits of Jamie flob in my food.

minxofmancunia · 06/05/2010 09:41

I don't think I coul bring myself to eat with him just from the way he pronounces "choclit" instead of "chocOlate" over and over again.....

blackflyinyourchardonnay · 06/05/2010 09:47

lolapoppins, that just made me chuckle, I may have even got blackfly flob on the laptop.

I hate Jamie Oliver, the nobnose.
It's the munching on the sausage and the "mmm" snaffle snaffle "mm" on the advert that really turns my stomach.

estuardo · 06/05/2010 23:23

thank goodness it's not just me

and those sausages are just out of a hot greasy frying pan - has he got an asbestos palate?

Rasputin I love his enthusiasm but his manners are terrible

OP posts:
gtamom · 07/05/2010 06:51

I've only seen him a few times, mostly a few years ago. I was astounded to see how sloppy he is with food and his lack of table manners. He seems to have a heart of gold, but why haven't his people tidied him up a bit?

SalFresco · 07/05/2010 07:00

I quite fancy him

gtamom · 07/05/2010 09:03

He is kind of like a friendly, bouncy puppy dog. Cute but a bit messy lol.
I am a Curtis Stone fan myself. He has such nice t-shirts.

goodlifemummy · 07/05/2010 10:14

I love Jamie, and won't say anything against him!! Surely the worst lip-smacker and chomper is Valentine Warner (shudder) makes me feel physically sick to hear him chomp, those big ole lips flapping around!

oliviacrumble · 07/05/2010 10:22

You know the way Jamie pronounces the word "wafer" as "waffer"?

Is he doing that to pay homage to Monty Python's Mr Creosote (sp?)?

Or is he just thick?

piratecat · 07/05/2010 10:25

much too much spit going on.

Helena1964 · 07/05/2010 20:10

And I've seen him with very dirty fingernails, too.

southeastastra · 07/05/2010 20:12

he also called someone a 'spas' on the radio the other day, oh yes he did

moonstorm · 07/05/2010 20:19

Ooh Helena you beat me to the dirty fingernails.. Yuck!!!

JennyPiccolo · 07/05/2010 20:39

haha, who cares?

TheCrackFox · 07/05/2010 20:51

Ds1 has just pointed out that in the latest Sainsbo's advert Jamie gets completely out of breath walking 100yds over a field.
