have had kids clambering over me all day long. I want to relax and watch some TV but all i can hear is bang bang bang..... I hope it doesnt wake the kids.

they are banging at nearly 10pm? i'd be having a wee word along the lines of "any chance you could pack that bloody racket in cos my kids are trying to sleep?"

Had this problem when my neighbour was building his shed last year. He didn't see it as a problem to be using a fecking band saw to cut wood at 9:30pm cos it was still quite light outside and his kids basically go to sleep where they fall at the end of the day. My two are in bed and out cold by 8pm regardless of summer or winter...

It might be an emergency repair.

Tell em to pack it in. My new neighbours kept banging till 11.30 one night - until asked to quit it.. so next night they kept on going till 9.30 and again were reminded we have small kids. They've been noisy in the day but not late into the evening so it did the trick.

There could be a good reason for it. Is it just a one-off?

I dunno..... I dont know them that well. They seem really nice so I dont want to fall out with them. Would be good to have neighbours that I could call upon if I needed to and im only just getting to know them.

I dont thhink its an emergency..... although it hard to tell. Their friend/relative is there doing it.

They havent put their bin out either. am tempted to go put it out myself. I dont think they know which days it goes out on and get get foxes if we dont put the bins out.
