Flyer through the door today... Labour MP's face plastered across the front. Back read "Sorry I missed you when I called round, feel free to give me a call on...."

He didn't knock, a bloke (blantently not the MP on the front) was posting them through every door on the street.

Anyone else had this?

Was leaning towards Labour as well...

The way we used to canvass a house with the candidate was we would knock on the door but the candidate might be at a different house, We would ask if they would like to speak to the candidate or not and then call them over this was to avoid them being at one door for ages or standing outside an empty house [time management], if no one answered the door we would just post a sorry we missed you through the letter box and not call the candidate to do it But YANBU to expect them to knock and ask for your vote

YANBU if they want to just leaflet and not come round, then don't lie about it by writing that on the leaflet!

Buzzybb- was definatley a bloke on his own posting through every letterbox on the street.

Firawla- precisely, little bit gutted I didn't get to quizz him, never mind him making out he'd been round. If I had've been out and seen it when I got home, I would have though, ah brill he's making the effort, as most people probably have.
