Lascal buggy board in place of Bugaboo wheeled board??

I live abroad and MIL has just arrived. I have been so excited as she was bringing me the new bugaboo wheeled board which apparently means you don't have to stand to the side when you push the buggy. I gave exact instructions including the product code but instead she has brought the Lascal buggy board maxi.

I know I am throwing my toys out of the pram but it is not what I wanted and I'm not even sure it will go on my pram.

Anyone any experience of either board to make me feel better?? should I just send it back when she goes??

did you pay for it?

SloanyPony · 04/05/2010 17:53

No experience of, but grrrrrrrrrr on your behalf.

I got a lascal one instead of a bugaboo one as the bugaboo one got so many crap reviews for breaking. The lascal one is good. You do have to walk a bit stuck out but that seems to be the way of buggy boards. And I think it will be good to transfer it when you inevitably give up the bugaboo for a pushchair when your child is say 2+

We've got the Bugaboo board as we were told that the warranty for the pram would be voided if we used another make.

It's a bit of a pain tbh, although DS loves it. It sticks out quite far, so you either have to walk with your feet either side (cowboy style!) or to the side which is hard in crowded places. I think the Lascal one is better as it seems to give more room for your feet.

Hope that makes you feel a bit better!

Sorry, just read you are referring to a new version of the Bugaboo board. Haven't seen it, so can't comment.

Apologies, should learn to concentrate and not try to stuff down a chocolate bar at the same time before DS catches me.

the lascal one left me with massively bruised shins the one time i brought the buggy out with it. I'm tall and couln't shorten my stride enough while still being close enough to actually push the buggy.

no idea about the bugaboo one though, sorry.

I used a lascal maxi one and it worked fine.

Once it was in pushchair mode I canged how it was attached so there was even more room for my legs!

Can send you a photo of it in use if you like!

Thank you all it isn't the one I wanted and it's a lot of money so I've asked her to take it back and get me the new Bugaboo one I wanted. She's fine about it. Won't get it until August but might get a cheap 2nd hand one in the meantime.
