... to sing while I'm working in the kitchen?

It generally results in a large 'hurrumph' and loud closing of the living room door by DH - which frankly has been winding me up for months.

I'm no Leona Lewis but my singing voice is genuinely not that bad (one of our first dates was at a karaoke bar and it didn't bother him then!).

Seriously I actually feel his reaction is a bit rude and disrespectful. I can understand he wants to be able to hear the telly but it's the manner in which he does it that annoys me - opinions on a postcard please!

no.... i dance round mine.

I think you should get a mic then when he cloeses the door he will still be able to hear you ... better still put a speaker in the livinng room, or take up the drums.

lol at putting a speaker in teh front room!

Why don't nyou close the lviign room door and sing a smidge quieter
save a row

you go for it! YAdefNBU! I got my flute out in the kitchen last weekend and started playing hymns, and would sing more if only I could remember the words to the songs like best. Once the living room door is closed you can really let rip! But he could close it quietly...

Exactly bonny - I don't see why he needs to be so stroppy and petulant about it.

I generally close the door myself now anyway and then I do let rip!!!
