Now I dont go to shops looking for new found friendships but I do always prefer when a shop assistant is civil and perhaps gives a small smile as she/he greets you at the till point but today I met possibly the moodiest woman I've ever met serving in a shop.

No kind of greeting, barely any eye contact yet miraculously she has a voice when she wants to chat to my 6mo DS who's perched on my hip! She addressed him in the usual high pitched 'goo goo ga ga' style tones but refused to do anything more than grunt at me! Very strange!

So am I being unreasonable to think that if she can be nice to my son she can be nice to me!?

I think most shop assistants are like that, specially in Tescos lol.
