To be so stressed about election

I am so so stressed out re the election. We are just due to complete on a house we are buying. It has been all been going through for ages. BUT I am now really, really panicking what if the torys get in. Our family tax credit will go and we are both public sector workers. I am a nurse and my husband is a policeman. Should we pull out.

no absolutely do not pull out. Who knows what is around the corner, with whoever gets in. And nothing will happen straightaway in any case.

Love the 'just blame sue' name

I know nothing will happen straight away - but one of my big concerns is that my husband is a policeman and due to medical issues can no longer do front line duties - I just keep thinking will this mean they will get rid of him. Also I am a nurse and have only just started working again after having the kids - if they do any sort of 'last in first out' for reduncancies I am so the first out.
Also we are in our forties and we are not totally relying but have budgeted under the assumption that dh will get his pension lump sum in 10 years which will pay of a lot of the mortgage. What if the pension he has paid into (nearly 600 a month!) for 20 years is worthless.

Sorry getting myself all stressed!!!
