I think what we really need is for the main parties to talk about immigration. they seem to shy away from the subject which is why racist idiots like the BNP get so much support - they're the only voice that can be heard addressing the matter. I've met a few people who seem perfectly normal and rational who would consider voting for them for this reason.

I think there's also a perception that they are the party for the working class- Labour used to hold this position but it seems to many that they've let people down.

I'm working class and they don't speak for me. From what I see it's working class people mixing most with "bloomin foreigners". My boys have a lovely mixed school where the politest most respectful children are those from immigrant families, there are loads of mixed relationships and mixed race children where I live. So it's not the case for the working classes in cities I don't think
