'Yes Stealth, really, why is that such a problem?
We are NOT rascist, we do NOT deny the holocaust, we are a Christian family, do lots of community work, voluntarily, and simply want a decent country for our children to grow up in.'

So why are you supporting the BNP? It sounds like it's the antithesis of almost everything you say you stand for.

i cannot believe you support the BNP.
im actually sickened.

YOU are the people that should be thrown out of the country. racism and support of a holocaust denying leader has absolutely no place on this planet, never mind this country!

Oh God not another one

Yes yes let's beat the children in schools
bring back hanging
flog petty criminals
get women back in the home where they belong

blah blah

what is all this business with "well I vote for the BNP but I don't believe in XYZ " it's ludicrous.

whifflegarden · 02/05/2010 18:31

I'm glad you've mentioned you're allegiance to bnp. I'll know not to engage with you in future. I have no words for any seemingly intelligent humanbeing who chooses to be a part of that disgusting party. Christianity is not compatible with bnp values.

giveitago · 02/05/2010 18:52

I find the Christian connection worrying - why would god fearing (or loving) people want to align themselves with something so hateful, and against what their religion teaches them?

No candidate in my area I don't think.

posieparker · 02/05/2010 19:11

Don't you have to hope for a particularly poor uneducated white catchment to hope to get in as a BNP candidate?

Even if the BNP was the party it tries to pretend to be why would anyone vote for them given it's roots? So if the 'family British values' were simply that(whatever that may be) it's foundations are built upon nazi loving racism. That alone should stop you supporting them, forget about the fact that they are a party for the politically naive, the racist and the ignorant.

Id give you mine!

nighbynight · 02/05/2010 19:39

All the christians I know run a mile from the BNP!

PrincessBoo · 02/05/2010 19:51

YANBU.

End of.

Kaloki · 02/05/2010 20:50

Tell you what chickadee, go search for threads on the BNP on here, in them you will find hundreds of reasons not to vote BNP. Let alone fucking stand for them!!

EazyJ · 02/05/2010 23:52

I think YABU.

With respect, can you explain why you believe it is up to you to decide who your neighbours can and cannot vote for?
The BNP (whether you support them or not) have a legal right to campaign in this election just like the other parties, its called Democracy.

I don't know if I support the BNP or not, partly because I do not fully understand what they stand for, and the reason for that is because the media are too busy telling me what they stand for without giving them the opportunity to speak for themselves. I would actually like the BNP to be given the chance to tell us the voters what they stand for so we can make up our own minds.

Sorry, (and I mean this respectfully) but I do not need you to make up my mind for me by burning my BNP leaflet (not that I?ve had one) or any other parties? leaflets for that matter. YABU.

Apologies if this is not what you want to hear but you did ask.

HarderToKidnap · 02/05/2010 23:56

Eazy, you can use the internet. Therefore you can quite easily google them and read their manifesto. It explains everything they stand for.

Chandra · 03/05/2010 00:00

"its like having dogshit put through my door. honestly."

Never better put, it certainly felt like that when it was put through my door.

Kaloki · 03/05/2010 00:18

EasyJ The BNP wont tell you what they stand for in their leaflets, that would guarantee no votes.

Kaloki · 03/05/2010 00:23

But here are some bits from their manifesto. Bearing in mind I didn't even get through half of it before I gave up in disgust.

"All laws against traditional free speech rights will be repealed, starting with the
vague, politicised, and hypocritically-enforced laws pertaining to race and
religion"

Translation The BNP would like to be able to spout whichever incitements to racial violence that they feel like.

The ideas for fixing the "Irish Problem" are laughable. As someone else pointed out earlier in the thread, because asking the Irish to join with Britain has never caused any problem before

"We would restore to the legitimate and law-abiding sportsmen the right to possess
and shoot all the varieties of weapon they were entitled to before New Labour?s 1997
totalitarian gun-grab"

Oh god! Can you think of a group of people you would feel any less uncomfortable with holding guns?!

"To take just one example, it is a hard fact that, according to official figures, 15% of
the UK?s male prison population is black, despite black people accounting for only
2% of the total population. Victim-reported figures concerning the race of criminals
give the lie to the leftist argument that this is due to discriminatory prosecution. It is
an inescapable statistical fact that immigration into Britain increases the crime rate."

This gives no regard to cause and effect, and also, if they want to bring immigration into it they need to back it up with how many are immigrants, not how many are black.

It also doesn't take into account the environmental factors.

"Recent arrests of cells of Islamic terrorists living in the country plotting mass
murder in Britain illustrate the link between illegal immigration and terrorism."

How? As far as I was aware, a good few of the terrorists were British citizens, not illegal immigrants.

"Whether the now totally discredited feminist
argument that men and women are innately the same, to the partly refuted egalitarian
claim that everyone within a given population is born as a blank slate with the same
innate potential, or to the still dominant Politically Correct denial of the existence of
differences on average between members of different races ? we reject all these
irrational myths."

Ah yes, irrational. Based on? And daftpunk, being female, you count too.

"?Racism?, in other words, is not a consequence
of ?false consciousness?, economics, imperialism or the work of evil agitators, it is part
of human nature."

Nice!

And I can guarantee they wont be sticking this through your letterbox, instead it'll be some drivel about keeping Britain British, and I believe some of the leaflets have - alongside stuff about keeping foreigners out - a photograph taken by a Polish photographer of a Polish designed plane used in WWII.

EazyJ · 03/05/2010 00:42

Thanks for your help Harder.

I had already seen their website, but I would like to see and hear these people speak for themselves. And this goes for any party... I'd like to know about the person I am voting for before I decide.

Clearly the poster of this thread doesn't agree with BNP policies and thats fair enough. But is that person entitled to make up the minds of their neighbours for them? I think thats unreasonable.

I?m sorry this goes against the grain of this particular thread but I am slightly perplexed by it. This thread doesn?t seem to be asking a genuine question, its more about making a statement, and woe betide anyone who doesn?t agree. And I struggle to see how that generates intelligent adult discussion?

Chickydee - I honestly do not understand how you can call yourself a Christian. Jesus came to Earth and gave us 2 commandments - "love the LORD our God" and "Do unto others as you would have done to yourself".
I can't see Nick Griffin upholding either of those, can you? I'm pretty sure Jesus didn't say "Do unto others as you would have done to yourself, unless the others happen to be black, Jewish, Islamic, disabled lesbians."
I could not vote for a party where I disagreed with the Party leadership's fundemental belief - which is Britain for WASPs, everyone else fuck off to where you came from
You can dress it up any way you want, the fact your husband is standing as a BNP candidate says that you sanction this kind of evil, bigotted nonsense.

MmeLindt · 03/05/2010 08:18

What a strange thread.

Chickydee
I am unsure how you can square you Christian beliefs with the policies of the BNP. What is Christian about their manifesto.

Have you read it?

At current immigration and birth rates, indigenous British people are set to become a minority well within 50 years. This will result in the extinction of the British people, culture, heritage and identity.

? The BNP will take all steps necessary to halt and reverse this process. These steps will include a halt to all further immigration, the deportation of all illegal immigrants, a halt to the ?asylum? swindle and the promotion of the already existing voluntary repatriation scheme.

The BNP will repeal the Race Relations Act and all other far leftist social engineering projects, such as the Equalities and Human Rights Commission aimed at enforcing multiculturalism.

The BNP is implacably opposed to the Labour/Tory regime?s mass immigration policies which, if left unchecked, will see Britain and most of Europe colonised by Islam within a few decades.

? The BNP will reintroduce capital punishment for drug dealers, child murderers, multiple murderers, murderers of policemen on duty and terrorists where guilt is proven beyond all doubt.

? The BNP will reintroduce the right of householders to defend themselves and their property using whatever means they deem necessary.

? The BNP will establish a penal station for extremely dangerous/violent repeat criminals (including rapists) on the British island of South Georgia.

Does any of that sound like a reason to vote for the party? Does it sound like something that a Christian would believe in?

I think that too many people make up their minds about the BNP, either for or against, without having a look at the policies. Only when you know what they really want to do with our country, can you judge for yourself whether you support them or find them hideous.

rainbowinthesky · 03/05/2010 08:28

I'm glad chickydee stated about herself and her oh. I certainly wont be engaging in conversations about nappies etc with her.
