ice cream and jam

I have just asked DP if there is anything sweet in the house
and he brought me a bowl of vanilla icecream with a spoonful of jam on top

seriously - is this normal practice? He says its totally usual where he comes from, I think hes taking the piss in some strange indefinable way

obviously I have eaten it but still think its strange

AIBU or is it him?

We used to eat hundreds and thousands sandwiches. Like a sugar sandwich but with more chemicals.

he fails to see my argument that if i drop the bowl it will inevitably land jam side down

Now I am annoyed as the icecream has all been eaten(with jam) and I have remembered the existence of hazelnut liqueur which would have been lovely with it instead
