...to not care much what any of the parties' policies are, as long as THEY SORT OUT THE BUDGET DEFICIT!!

its obvious none of the potential PMs want to talk about how they will sort out our financial mess because they know it wont get them votes. But without the deficit being sorted out, this country is going down the pan. Never mind CTF, credits, pensions, inheritance...all those things will be worthless anyway when the rest of the world wont invest in the UK and we are bankrupt. Sadly the papers wont talk about it, the politicians are putting their heads in the sand and the majority of the population doesnt seem to realise what a MASSIVE crisis we are facing.

OK rant over...

I suppose in the same way people put their head in the sand re: their personal financial indebtedness, even more so when it comes to the financial indebtedness of the nation. You are right, it won't win votes. I don't think UK is in danger of going bankrupt, but a credit downgrade is looming.

If the politicians have intentions of sorting out the deficit, they will come out with them after the election. I still feel safer in Gordon Brown's hands.
