i'm currently 24 weeks pg with baby number 3 and looking at things for the baby, dd is 13 months so ive already go most things, we need a double pram, moses basket and clothes (new baby is a boy)

my mums 'helping' by finding the cheapest of everything, we are not loaded but dp works full time and we are not skint either

she doesnt seem to understand that we want stuff that we like not just because its cheaper, shes insisting that we buy a one in front f the other pram for £130 when ive chosen the side by side one that i want .. becaus its cheaper!

aibu to want things that i like for the baby?

no yanbu
have you explained it to your mum?
you would be u if you were saying "if its cheap im not having it" even if it was something good, but the fact that you have your own choices of what kind of pram and whatever else you need is fine, and normal. its worth paying a bit more if that is the one you really want, especially with things that will be getting daily use like buggies.
i'm sure your mum thinks she is being very useful so just tell her nicely like thanks for all your help mum, we've decided on this one in the end.
