that I get lots of Birthday wishes on Facebook from acquaintances but one of my oldest friends didn't bother.

It's facebook. It tells them it's your birthday. I'd like to think your oldest friends didn't needing by a website though

We do now live in different countries so that why we usually correspond through fb.

And it may be because they dont go on it regulary. i have been known to miss loads of birthdays on facebook. i dont lose any bloody sleep about it, i am just not a regular.

dont worry about, its only a birthday, we are older now so its not so exciting anyway. i prefer not to be reminded .
