I ahve a cut hand which I am struggling to keep dry - one steri strip has already come off
I have two screaming children who WILL NOT STOP SCREAMING
I have a house like a tip
I ahve the blind man coming in 2 hours
(he's actually the shutter man, but i called him the blind man so someone could make the obvious joke)
Please tell mme how to clean the house while 2 children scream at me without getting my hand wet. Oh, and I ache all over, really badly. Just had painkillers so hopefully that'll be OK in a sec

good point, we're normally getting blinds for bedroom so we need to do upstairs as well, just need to do downstairs today
do need to do other rooms though - lounge knee deep in cake crumbs and kitchen covered in biscuits. Of course the DCs have had a healthy diet today

Do not clean the house because a tradesman is coming. He wants your business not to assess the state of your house. It is a FAB rule that if you are injured you are excused housework.

ah but dh will be upset if the house is a mess when we have guests. And i know the solution would be for him to do it himself, usually he could and would but he'd have to leave work early, and after leaving at lunchtime on Monday because DD was admitted to hospital with a viral rash and getting in at lunchtime yesterday after i sliced my hand on a breadknife & went to A&E his very tolerant boss might finally lose patience
