to want the wife to look after the kids while i watch F1

I work hard all week and it would be nice to get a couple of hours to myself so i can watch the grand prix without the little cherubs pestering.

Does your wife not work hard all week? Do you ever take the kids off her hands for a couple of hours so she can have some time to herself?

YANBU. I assume like most of us SAHMs she sits on her arse watching Jeremy Kyle and Jerry Springer all day. Of course you should relax and have some 'me' time 20 Sundays a year

Can't blame a guy for asking - doesn't mean he'll get it. Wonder what his wife thinks? He is NBU asking, he is BU if he expects it. I hope he reciprocates the favour.

I think he's asking for trouble posting on MN though...

My DD watches F1 with her daddy and loves it; oh, and so do I.

Jason, here's a little tip.
Record Grand Prix.
When it's bedtime, put your children to bed.
Run "The Wife" a nice bath.
Put your feet up and watch the Grand Prix.
Hey presto. No kids pestering.
