ok so this is a bit of a rant but, am due to retake my PADI advanced open water test in a few weeks, as I havent dived in almost two years (am taking my brother diving for his birthday on holiday this year and would like to get back into diving a bit more)Most of my dive stuff was stolen when I was on hols the year before last and while I have replaced most of the stuff which was stolen which was quite expensive, I overlooked the book. have just tried to purchase it and its £40! Maybe Im just being a bit grumpy because I have chickenpox at the mo or because everything else cost sooooooo much to replace but FGS £40 for a book?

so is it a refresher course you are doing? I remember having to do a refresher course a few years ago when I hadn't dived for a while and think I was charged around 50 pounds (sorry, no pound key on this laptop) to do the refresher but don't remember getting a book.

It isnt this one is it? That would be too easy!

mumoverseas · 28/04/2010 11:33

Just had a look at my DCs open water and advanced open water PADI books and the advanced one is double the size of the open water. No prices on either but imagine the advanced/adventures in diving isn't cheap. PITA though

Or is it one of the books in pack? . I'm guessing more likely to be the frist link if any

asteri · 28/04/2010 11:53

mustrunmore thats it!! the first one, oddly enough I didnt really think of looking on ebay as I have had so many bad experiences shopping on ebay.

If all the books I need cost 40 quid I would be so pleased.
