AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

STOP IT! STOP IT! STOP IT!

He'll be 1 on Sunday and has just cut his 2 top teeth together and so now grinds them on his 2 bottom teeth.

He's got more coming through too!

Seriously, why is it when they are teething, they have to grind them? You've only just got them, don't wear them away!

It goes through me so much I have to sing over him doing it for fear of dropping him to cover my ears!

YANBU, I used to cringe so much when DS did this. Luckily it didn't last long. Even the thought of it now is making me cringe.

'It goes through me so much I have to sing over him doing it for fear of dropping him to cover my ears! '

I had to do this too! It makes me want to throw up! Fortunately it was short-lived.

I feel your pain. I'm learner support for a lovely lad with Downs and he does it all the time! Argh!

DS(5) does it and has done since he has had teeth.

I also do it and have done since I have had teeth

'Tis a horrible thing.

dd2 is into this too, she is just 1. My other two dc never did it. It sounds awful, I keep thinking she's going to grind a big chunk off. Plus I also panic that she's trying to eat something horrific that the other dc have discarded (to be fair sometimes she is - we had half a pistachio shell, a crab claw and a playmobil helmet this week alone)....I feel your pain!

My DS and DH both grind their teeth - I have reached a point where I can block it out. My DM on the other hand (a woman who has to see her grandson every day otherwise she has withdrawal symptoms) has threatened to leave our house and not return until he stops doing it.
