Yanbu at all.
Better than letting snot run down her face.
Or worse, wipe it with your hand.

A tampax would have done the job more efficently, I think.

1pregheadpumpkin · 24/04/2010 14:09

that's just funny, it solved the runny nose problem though! that's called using you're initiative

BusyMissIzzy · 24/04/2010 14:11

YANBU. Very resourceful, I'd say. Don't try the same thing when your DD is 15 though

tootyflooty · 24/04/2010 14:17

that was funny, by the way if it's corn flake consistency then a finger nail does a brill job, ( sorry I know that's gross) but I have a thing about nostrils, sadly my dc are a bit too old for letting me pick theirs now!!

FourArms · 24/04/2010 14:47

I have done the DSs with a (clean) nappy before now!

Sonilaa · 24/04/2010 14:59

breast pads are good too

womblingfree · 24/04/2010 15:43

Certainly not as gross than my friend's sis-in-law who used to suck the gunk out of her babies noses when they were bunged up (when they were tiny and couldn't blow)!

DrivenToDistraction · 24/04/2010 15:44

lol! YANBU at all!

QOD · 24/04/2010 15:53

I once gave my friends mum a panty liner to wipe her vomity mouth with LOL
We cried laughing all the way home as she gagged (and wiped)

We'd been on a waltzer ride and she threw up in her mouth on it, had to keep her mouth shut until we got off and then BLEUUUUUGH
