To think frosties are the work of the devil?

I don't think I am. I shuffled off to get something to eat and found some cornflakes. I don't really like sweet things so didn't put any sugar on them. When dh's friend came with his three boys he mentioned he'd broght a box along. What dh failed to notify me of is that he put them inthe cereal box to catch our unwary eaters. I feel sick.

What's not to like!
Mind you, I would eat pure sugar if I allowed myself too

nickytwotimes · 21/04/2010 14:31

They are revolting.
I love cakes/biscuits/sweets, but not Frosties.

What? What happened?

'Catch our unwary eaters'?

Frosties are tasty. Are you saying someone deliberately put Frosties into a box that should have plain cornflakes in, as part of some evil plan, and you didn't notice and ate them?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 21/04/2010 14:34

To clarify, I didn't eat them, I had one spoonful and feel queasy. They are soooooo sweet.

GibbonInARibbon · 21/04/2010 14:40

I don't do sweet cereal.

GibbonInARibbon · 21/04/2010 14:40

But aren't they white? did you not think they looked a little odd?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 21/04/2010 14:40

Trillian, how can you notice the sugar on them unless you microscopically examine them.

I didn't have my glasses on. I've been back to look at them in the bin and yes, they do have a whitish tinge to them.

(resists the temptation to say "Theyy'rre GRRRReat! )

southeastastra · 21/04/2010 14:43

frosties are nicest in the winter soaked in hot milk, yum

APassionateWoman · 21/04/2010 14:43

Frosties - NO. Crunchy NUT - oh yes.

Mouseface · 21/04/2010 14:46

I'm having muesli - just for the sexy men in the ad!!!!

I hate Frosties, Sugarpuffs, anything loaded with sugar - eeww! Makes my teeth ache just thinking about it.

GibbonInARibbon · 21/04/2010 14:46

well you have my sympathy kreecher, they are [vom]

Make a nice cup tea, earl grey or suchlike to get rid of the taste.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 21/04/2010 14:50

Glad I am (mostly) vindicated. Gibbon, I can't stand tea and southeast, you've just named my nightmare drink (beside tea) hot milk. That deserves a thread all of its own.

kreecher, you just made me snort tea out of my nose (oh the irony) thank you for making me chortle, much needed

lazymumofteenagesons · 21/04/2010 17:19

Frosties are delicious. I like all the sweet cereals especially the chocolate ones. Its even better when you top it with some squirty cream .

usualsuspect · 21/04/2010 17:22

mmmm frosties are lovely..coco pops are even better

kickassangel · 21/04/2010 17:23

coco pops in a bowl with chocolate milk. mmmmmm

PersonalClown · 21/04/2010 17:26

Frosties are pure yumminess! But they come 3rd on my scale.
2nd are Frosted Shreddies

and at number one

Ricicles!

PersonalClown · 21/04/2010 17:27

Where the hell did cost come from?
I meant choice of course.

cruelladepoppins · 21/04/2010 21:02

Urgh - I am disgusted (thought not surprised) at the levels of sugar in cereals marketed at children.

sallyJayGorce · 21/04/2010 21:06

If loads of kids are staying I get those mini packets as a treat. I always wish I could get at the Frosties but they are gone. Then we are all back on the wholefood and grapenuts. I don't have a sweet tooth but I have a fond memory of childhood when I see Tony the Tiger and his amazing sugar rush cereal.

If only they made some with roquefort I'd be in heaven.
