just rang to book an appointment for ds(18) and he wanted one at the weekend.
was told they don't test young people at the weekend, as they keep it for adults who work all week......
got one when I pointed out he was and adult, but is it me or is that an odd rule...
what about parents who work and can only take thier dc's at the weekend.

My specsavers see children at the weekend.

I LOVE my specsavers, wonderful place that it is, but the are a franchise so some will be worse than others.

SO YABU If you mean all specsavers, but YANBU if you mean just yours.

Silver1 · 21/04/2010 09:45

YANBU What about the kids who are at school all week, and in after school clubs or activities in the early evening?

helyg · 21/04/2010 09:46

Specsavers here see children at weekends. Perhaps it is just your local branch?

YesYouMust · 21/04/2010 09:46

Should have also said, yes it is an odd rule to have.

pumperspumpkin · 21/04/2010 09:48

He's an adult as you've said, and more importantly he's a customer just like anyone else. I hope you have just booked an appointment somewhere else.

Goingspare · 21/04/2010 09:48

How odd. I've taken my children to Specsavers at the weekend. Must be an individual branch thing.

i have worked it out.........money
adults who work all week are most likely going to have to pay for the eye test and all the glasses.
someone in full time education, free eye test and voucher towards glasses...

It's illegal, surely. Age Discrimination regulations and access to goods and services clauses? Anyone legal on here?
