ok so I went to my first white wedding in years at the weekend.
now years ago, you had the service, then photos outside church, to reception, where bride and groom would greet people or be there, and then reception would start, brides mum and grooms mum got flowers and bridesmaids a pressie............

now you go to reception, no B&g AS THEY ARE OFF HAVING PICS TAKEN.(oops) then they arrive and there are more pics taken, a couple of what seems hours later you eat. then they give out loads of pressies, the ones mentioned, but also thier dads, and the best man and the ushers........
also we all had chocs or candles, and a really nice engraved name setting to keep.
now lovly wedding, but is it just me or have they changed?
(disclaimer this was a normal B&G been to gether yonks and not rich wedding)

I suppose it's on a par with children's birthday parties. In my day, you got a slice of cake to take home if you were lucky. Nowadays, you have to give each child a party bag packed to the brim with goodies.

I think all weddings are different and some are more traditional than others. I went to one last year where there was no sit down meal just a cold buffet and then we all did karaoke!!

We got married last year and we tried to keep it as traditional as possible although we did end up having loads of photos which are lovely to look back on but meant I missed time with my guests!

Next year we are going to a wedding in castle, in renaissance dress!
