I've got dinner for 6 to cook, house to clean, 18mnth baby to entertain, 7yr old to entertain, loo's to clean, cutlery to wash, glasses to wipe (dishwasher beyond crap)..self to wash, kids to feed dinner, kids to bed...house to clean...house to clean.....guests coming at 7.30pm (it's my boss as well...) house to clean....

and DH is up a flippin' ladder doing something (didn't listen past the 1st sentence) to the windows which is IMPERATIVE to do now.

I shouldn't even here on here.....so much to do....

rant over...ooh feel better already .

DH will think the fairies have come and produced meal and tidied house by 7.29pm...

Good luck!
Entertain your 7 yr old by requesting s/he does some of the initial tidying round for you!
Get tough with the be-laddered DH - ask him will his boos notice the state of the windows or notice the state of the inside of the house and lack of decent dinner on the table?

My ex was like this. He'd do nothing at all for weekends at a time - and then as soon as we had someone coming to stay and a whole heap of important things to do he would be cleaning out the fishtank and trimming the front hedge.

I will scream inwardly on your behalf.
