I have worked with a little boy with downs syndrome for the past 3 months he is 2 and a half and is gorgous, for weeks and weeks befor easter he cried and cried and cried but got better just before easter. Today his second session after easter, for the first time ever he ran outside, usually I have t carry him, he drank from a cup for a first time, he licked a biscuit for a first time (he does not eat solids) and we had lots and lots and lots and lots of Makaton. Am over the moon.

Wonderful.

What did his mum say?

DaftApeth · 16/04/2010 19:55

That's such a great post

YANBU. His parent's must be so chuffed as well.

Having worked with many children with special needs for many years, I know that improvement often happens in fits and starts but all the hard work is worth it
