The prize is Start-rite shoes for a year - it's actually some campaign to promote importance of measuring feet properly. I obviously don't fit their demographic.

thisisyesterday - they were working on an online measuring service . Involved taking 3 photos of each foot, uploading them, and having them analysed. I did some testing for them. It was wildly inaccurate.

That's the last I heard.

(Honestly, by the time you've persuaded 3 DCs to stand still enough for each foot to be snapped 3 times, you might as well put them in the car and take them to a shop!)

online measuring just wouldn't work anyway, because there is so much variation between styles and stuff as well. so even if they could accurately work out size from a photo that doesn't guarantee that any particular shoe will be a good fit.
