to want to know where my son is and when hes coming home?

on weds my grandad rang and askd if ds wanted to go swimming with him and my brother, i said yeaha dn grandad said he could stay over if he wanted, so i sent pyjamas as well..

on thursday morning i find out from my brothers facebook that ds stayed at my mums house, not my grandads.

i finally got hold of my mum (via my brother) at 8pm last night asking when she was fetching him home and was told "not today its too late, erm... tomorrow or maybe saturday" i said i wanted him this morning as we had plans at 9.30 am... she dropped him off at 10.30!

aibu to think if i was told he was staying one night at my grandads thats where he should have been or someone should have rang me and checked??

(my grandparents and mum live 40 mins away and i dont drive so couldnt pick him up, or i would!)

even if you don't drive I'm sure there's buses or public transport - if you are beholden to others to drop him off then it's when it's convenient for them not you

I would want to know where my children were - just a call to say that plans had changed shouldn't have been that difficult. YANBU

YANBU to want to know where he is. If he is supposed to be at GDs house, then that's where he needs to stay, unless you are asked/informed otherwise.

Happened with my DD, supposed to be staying at GM & GD house, stayed at my sisters instead. And hated it! Not a happy bunny for an endless number of reason I won't bore you with!

yanbu. They should have told you that your mum was having him instead. I wouldnt be happy at not knowing where he was or what day he was coming back, though an hour later isnt too bad. there may have been an explanation for that, traffic or an accident that held them up maybe?
